This "Nenkin Tsuzure Nishiki" is a further development of the techniques acquired during the restoration of the "Golden Nenkin Fukusa" requested by the Tokugawa Art Museum in Nagoya.

"Nenkin" is a technique in which gold leaf is wrapped around silk thread to create gold thread. Hiroshi Takao dyed the silk thread in various colors and used those colored threads to create Nenkin thread by wrapping gold leaf around them.

You can also enjoy an elegant obi look that is suitable for tea ceremonies and other occasions by coordinating it with a tsukesage or iro-muji.
